some weird ideas i churn up at work...

a bit over a week since my last post, i thought i should share some thoughts that seem logical and weird that came up through my conversations with my colleagues at work.

1. a way of determining wat a person's potential is at birth and the best way of utilising it.
- this means that as soon as you are born, you will be brought up in the way which will make the most out of you. Since it includes brought up, you will actually be educated in the way to brainwash you thinking that you should not sway from the path you are meant to take. In doing so, you will thoroughly enjoy what you are doing and be very happy bout it. Sounds good right? Now examples: a US President at birth, going through education to teach him how to lead and bla bla bla - Great! a perfect leader; a celebrity at birth, learning how to entertain from birth - better entertainer than any we have seen, so must be good!; a garbage collector from birth - definitely gonna have clean streets with garbage collectors totally focused and love their jobs. But wait, is this really a good way forward? No one is actually unhappy but the happiness seems artificial. E.g. the garbage collector will be brainwashed to thinking doing any other job is stressful and they will end up being violent bla bla bla. On the other hand, it seems fair. A CEOs son will no longer automatically receive quality education, afterall his son might have better potential to be the security guard outside his dad's building. But, on a more serious note, a person's life will be determined at birth, can that still be called a life?

Having written this much, i think i shall leave the rest for the next post. In my opinion, the first one has already got enough material for you to think about for some time. A snippet to part 2: a machine that can determine it all.
